Öneri Kiti (the "app") is a theme app extension plus an admin panel that shows manually paired "goes well with this" product recommendations on Shopify product pages. This document explains how the data of merchants who use the app is handled.
The app collects no data from visitors or customers — there is no form, no cookie, no tracking code and no personal information entry. The only records stored are the product pairings the merchant chooses in the admin panel:
This information is a copy of the store's own public product catalogue. It contains no personal or confidential data.
Product pairings are stored in the app's own PostgreSQL database. They are not sent to any third-party storage or analytics service.
The stored data is used solely to display the chosen recommendations on the relevant product page. It is never used for advertising or marketing, shared with third parties, or sold.
When a merchant uninstalls the app and Shopify's mandatory shop/redact
notification reaches it, every product pairing belonging to that store is genuinely
deleted from the database — the app does not simply reply "no data retained".
The recommendation block on the storefront sets no tracking cookies. The admin panel relies only on Shopify's own session verification.
